#78/79, 1h and 10 min. I felt like challenging my brain so decided to paint a portrait of myself upside down and on the other think about brush strokes.

#77, ~45 min. Felt like focusing on lips and chin area. On a side note, kittens = serious business.

Working off the old pile.
Trying to finish what has been left unfinished.
This is a sketch I started way back. Finished it and it looks way different:
Hypnos. I enjoyed painting freckles and the eyes. Was testing out various brushes I’ve received from the DVD’s that came with various ImagineFX magazines.
Kolibrie, another old sketch which I now deem finished cause I want to move on. I’ve painted the girl, the background consists partly of an awesome texture I found over at CGtextures.

#74, around 1,5 hour of work. I really suffer lots of problems when I try to paint in color. I always want to desaturate everything >.<
#75, about 1,5 hour again. I think it went better color-wise with this one (#75) compared to #74. Seems like the colors displays different on the laptop & external screen setup I have. Doesn’t really help you improve when you have reference on one screen and ongoing art piece on the other. This time I had the reference and artwork on the same screen and it seemed to have helped a bit.

#73, took a lil less than 2 hours. Doing something unusual and adding my reference picture so you can see what I am talking about. I liked this study until I had left for a while and then came back looking at it with fresh eyes. Ugh. More practice.
